Exhibits will be judged by comparison methods.  The American Standard of perfection will be the guide of the judges in awarding premiums; the judges will award no premiums to any unworthy specimen.  The following definitions will apply to all exhibits in poultry divisions. 

Cock – a male bird twelve (12) months or older
Hen – a female bird twelve (12) months or older
Cockerel – a male bird less than twelve (12) months old
Pullet – a female bird less than twelve (12) months old
Young Trio – a cockerel and two pullets, same variety
Old Trio – a cock and two hens, same variety
